Bashundhara Group Residence, Dhaka in detail
The Bashundhara Group residence in Dhaka needed a palace-scale atrium and ballroom floor — a composition far larger than a single slab, which had to be shipped in pieces and reassembled on site without any visible break.
We cut the floor in Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina and Verde Alpi, split it into more than forty numbered panels with joints hidden along the pattern lines, dry-assembled the whole composition in the factory and crated it with a setting plan.
Reassembled on site by the local team, the atrium and ballroom read as one uninterrupted inlaid floor — the joints landing exactly where the drawing put them.
The forty-plus panels were indexed to a grid stamped on the factory floor, then re-checked and re-numbered before crating. The setting plan carried the same grid, so the local team could rebuild the composition in the atrium in the correct order.
From drawing to crating
Full-size drawing
The pattern is drawn 1:1 on the atelier floor before any stone is cut, so proportions are settled at the scale you will walk on.
Stone selection
Blocks and slabs are chosen against the drawing, vein by vein, and photographed for your approval.
Waterjet cutting
Multi-axis waterjet cuts every piece direct from the approved CAD file, held to ±0.1mm across the whole figure.
Dry assembly & crating
The composition is assembled, inspected and numbered on the factory floor, then crated with a setting plan.
