Inlaid marble flooring is a single, seamless stone floor: each colour in the design is a different piece of stone, cut and fitted into a base surface so the pieces close into one continuous pattern. There is no applied veneer and no grout line — the design is the floor itself. Because the joints are cut to ±0.1mm and the whole surface is lapped and sealed, the pattern reads as a drawing in stone rather than a grid of tiles.
An inlaid marble floor is planned as a system, not a surface. We calculate borders from the room's axes, size the field panels to stone that actually exists, and engineer underfloor heating, movement joints and substrate tolerances into the cut plan before a single slab is opened. Every piece of inlay work in marble is drawn to the site, so the composition belongs to the room rather than sitting on it.
Patterns range from simple geometry — squares, octagons, radiating stars — to dense floral and foliate work, framed by Greek key or guilloche borders, or centred on a marble medallion. Most floors combine all three: a border that follows the walls, a field cut from whole stone, and a medallion beneath the chandelier. Every motif is scaled to the room, not copied from a sample board.
We work in 18mm structural stone as standard (20mm for heavy traffic), lapped and sealed as one surface — so joints close to a hairline and every line lands exactly where the drawing says. Finishes are chosen per zone: honed or leathered walking lines for grip, polished feature fields for depth, brushed lanes where the spec demands.
Inlaid flooring is specified wherever an impression has to be made and take wear: entrances, foyers and hotel lobbies; living halls, corridors and stair halls; and bathrooms and spas, where the pattern is sealed and drained within the design. Because the floor is engineered as one surface, it handles heavy traffic without the lippage and open joints that a tiled floor develops over time.
Everything happens under one roof in our Jiangmen factory — the full-size drawing, the waterjet cutting, the hand-closing of joints and the dry assembly — so the tolerances hold and there is no middleman between the drawing and the stone.
