A custom marble medallion is the focal point of a floor: a waterjet-cut centrepiece, usually circular or multi-sided, that anchors the room. We make custom marble floor medallions from 800mm to over 6 metres, drawn from your design or adapted from our library, so the figure is scaled to the space it will occupy — beneath the chandelier, at the foot of a stair, or at the threshold of a hall.
A medallion is the moment a room announces itself. We plot radial figures from a single centre so the pattern closes perfectly, and split anything over 2.4 metres into numbered segments with joints hidden along pattern lines — so the finished floor reads as one piece rather than a set of panels.
Cut directly from vector CAD files on calibrated multi-axis waterjets, each curved contour and radial segment aligns with effortless precision. Curves, fine joints and inset details that a saw cannot hold are executed cleanly — from a single inlaid star to a complex floral bouquet with hundreds of stone pieces.
Most of our medallion work starts from a client's own drawing. A CAD file, a sketch, a mood board or a photograph of an existing floor is redrawn at full size, stones are selected against it vein by vein, and a photographic material study goes back for approval before anything is cut. Two rounds of cut-plan revision are included.
Every medallion is dry-assembled on the factory floor, photographed for your approval and crated with a setting plan. What you approve is what arrives — the centrepiece is also the part of the floor that is seen from every angle, so it is documented with meticulous care before dispatch.
Marble medallions suit foyers, reception rooms, hotel lobbies and stair halls. Send a drawing or reference and we will return a cut plan, a material study and an itemised quote within three working days.

A marble medallion is a waterjet-cut centrepiece, usually circular or multi-sided, set into a floor as its focal point — beneath a chandelier, at the foot of a stair or at the threshold of a hall.
The medallion diameter should span between 40% and 60% of the room width or foyer rotunda, aligned directly with overhead lighting or architectural axes. Yes. Foyers and private estates are our most frequent residential commissions. See our architectural case guide on elevating the residential foyer with custom inlay.
We make custom medallions from 800mm to over 6 metres; larger figures are split into numbered segments with the joints hidden along the pattern lines.
It depends on diameter, stone and the number of pieces, so it is quoted from your drawing — a single geometric star is far quicker to cut than a dense floral bouquet. Send a sketch or CAD file for an itemised quote.
Often, yes — send a photograph taken straight-on with a reference measurement and we will redraw the pattern at full size.
